It’s hard to believe this is the last week of August. Summer flew by! Mentally I’m still very much in summer mode, but my mind is thinking about fall and a new season. Chocolate brown, burgundy and shades of green are calling my name.
I wanted to give you guys some tips to get ready for fall shopping and pulling out your fall wardrobe. A new season does not mean you need to get all new things. I really think it is about rewearing the pieces you love and sprinkling in a few new things. Every season we all want a little refresh, myself included! If you shop mindfully and really build a wardrobe with quality pieces and things that are cohesive you will not need to buy all new things every season.
My first tip is that you do a closet clean out. This will allow you to get rid of pieces you never wear or that are very worn. It also allows you to see what things you are missing and what you might need to get for the fall.
Next tip is to pull some inspiration images for fall. What style and looks are you loving? Pinterest and instagram are great resources for this. I love to look at street style photographers, influencers, celebrities and brands. Net-a-Porter e-comm styling is also really great and another good place to get ideas. Save the screen shots on your phone or make a Pinterest board.
After you do this play around with your clothes and put some fall looks together. This is a great exercise to remember what you have and to rewear your fall clothes in a new way. Also allows you to really see what you are looking to add to your wardrobe for the season. Don't forget to take pictures!
Lastly create a wishlist of all the pieces you are looking for. I love to heart and create wishlists on all the retail sites I like to shop on. Below are some fall pieces on my radar.
Nour Hammour Leather Jacket , Liffner leather clutch, Guest In Residence Sweater, DL1961 Jeans, Khaite x Oliver Peoples Sunglasses, Dries Van Noten Sneakers, Aeyde Snake Print Boots, Nour Hammour Suede Trench
I created a little fall wishlist shop for you guys. Be sure to follow me on ShopMy as I’m always updating my storefront. Everything I source is there. It’s a good to place to look if you are stuck or needing ideas.
If you are curious about working with a stylist please feel free to message me. My fall slots are filling up but I still have some space.
I hope you guys enjoyed this newsletter and enjoy the holiday weekend! As always thank you for being here!
