What to wear to all of those holiday parties you've been invited to
The holiday season is in full swing. I have The Holiday soundtrack playing on repeat and my house is almost all decorated for Christmas. I really love this time of year.
I love any excuse to dress up! I know lots of parties can be stressful for many to prepare for. I am here to remind you to not panic buy pieces for any holiday parties you have coming up. First, I strongly encourage you to shop your closet. I also had the urge to go out and buy new things, but I took a look in my closet and remembered that I had a lot of things that could work for the parties I have coming up.
I was helping a client this week get ready for a holiday work party and we were able to pull everything from her current closet. All we had to source were some earrings and a bag. Sometimes all you need is a festive pair of earrings, black bow in your hair, evening bag, or tights to amp up your outfit. For festive jewelry I really love Completed Works and Dorsey .
If you are buying something new for a holiday party make sure it is something you can rewear after the holiday season. I like to use the three ways to wear it method to make sure the item will be versatile and work well with my current wardrobe. There is no point having something you can only wear once.
