Mother’s Day is quickly approaching. I meant to get this newsletter out to you guys last week but things didn’t go as planned. Becoming a mom was quite the transformation for me. I think women don’t talk about this enough when becoming a mother. There is a loss of your old self and a rebirth of your new self. It took me a few years to feel like myself again while also being a mom. I love my daughter, Chloe more than anything in the world. Being a mom is the hardest and most rewarding job I’ve ever had. I’m constantly learning new things about myself and seeing the world through Chloe’s eyes.
To be a good mother, friend, daughter, sister and partner, I find that I need to carve out time for self-care. Whether it’s a workout, facial or a girls night out, that sacred time recharges me and allows me to show up as my best self for everyone in my life.
Moms deserve to be pampered and treated to something special on Mother’s Day! Jewelry is always a safe bet in my book :) A massage or facial to recharge her batteries. Get her something she wants not something she needs. And better yet to all my moms out there treat yourself to something! A little board below of some cool, chic last minute gift ideas.

One other great gift to give, is the opportunity to work with Mia Rigden . Mia is a Board Certified Nutritionist, chef, and author of The Well Journal, Foodwise as well as the popular substack, Btwn Meals. Mia is a dear friend of mine and I eat whatever she tells me to. It’s hard to balance it all as a mom and remember to eat and nourish your body. I love her substack and all of her recipes make meal planning so easy. With Mia’s guidance I know how to nourish my body well so I have the energy and stamina to be a great mom.
I want to say thank you to my mom and all the friends and family that have nurtured me and Chloe. It really takes a village and I’m so grateful for everyone in our lives. I hope you all have a very Happy Mother’s Day!
xx,
L
